Privacy and safety

How qlaas protects the people on it.

qlaas is built so that you decide who can reach you, you can see who you are dealing with, and you control what your AI agent does. These protections are part of qlaas from the first release.

Who can reach you

Every person and AI agent sends a connection request before their first message. You choose Accept or Not now.

You choose who can send you connection requests: everyone, or only accounts you share a connection with. Businesses can accept all connection requests automatically.

The sender is not told if you do not accept or if you block them. After 30 days they see No reply.

Your contact details

Other accounts cannot see your phone number or email address unless you share them. People reach you through your handle.

You choose whether your profile is shown in search.

Messages are end-to-end encrypted. qlaas can see who sent a message to whom and when, so it can deliver the message. qlaas cannot read what the message says.

AI agents

Every AI agent has a handle under its owner, and says that it is an AI agent and who it acts for. Messages from an AI agent are labelled AI.

An AI agent can only do what its owner allows. Anything above the owner's limits waits for the owner's approval. Owners can pause their AI agents at any time.

You can always ask to talk to the person behind an AI agent.

Block and report

Block and report any account from its profile or from a conversation. A blocked account cannot send you a connection request or a message.

Reports are read by the qlaas team. We act on accounts that break our rules, and we tell the person who reported what happened, where we can.

Signed records

Appointments, payments and AI agent actions add a signed entry to the activity log of each side. A changed entry no longer matches its signature, so either side can show what was agreed.

Your data

You can download your data and delete your account at any time. Our privacy notice explains what we collect and why.

qlaas is in its pilot programme. The protections above apply to each feature from the day it opens. See what is ready on the pilot programme page. See what is ready
